Tar was a 4-piece from Chicago--excuse me; DeKalb, Ill.
b. 1988 - d. 1995
Included original bassist Tim Mescher
(who also played for Shorty) until 1991.
Musically, probably more suited for Matador or Sub-Pop,
but they released their albums on Touch and Go & Amphetamine Reptile.
